Nike SB Dunk Low Yellow Lobster

About one in two million lobsters is blue due to a genetic defect that results in excessive protein production. Given their rarity and how hard it was to get a pair of Blue Lobsters, the Yellow Lobster might be even rarer. Appearing in nature at odds of 1 to 30 million, the yellow lobster looks to be the inspiration for Concepts’ latest collaboration with Nike SB.

At Saturday’s launch of the Concepts x Nike SB Dunk Low ‘Blue Lobster’, CNCPTS owner Tarik Hassan was spotted rocking a yellow makeup of the Lobster design. Rumour has it that these were limited to 36 pairs, with the tiny lot given to friends, family and some lucky folks in line. While we all went googly eyed over the Blue Lobster dunk, the folks at Concepts snuck this one right under our noses. The Yellow Lobster dunk is rumored to be even more exclusive than the Blue Lobster, and is pretty much the yellow version of the Blue Lobster dunk, except it features the same sock lining as the original Lobster and white laces.

The Blue Lobsters are Skateboard shop Concepts’ second collab with Dunk SB. If you remember last year they teamed up to release the Red Lobsters. But not all the attention was focused on the release. A lot of the attention was focused on the feet of CNCPTS store owner Tarik Hassan who was spotted wear a never before seen version of the Lobsters. Hassan was wearing a Yellow version.
