Back in the mid 2000's, Nike wasn't releasing quite as many patchwork colorways overall, and this particular model had yet to be envisioned. But in 2010, just enough time has passed to make this look fashionable again, and to apply it to the recently-reduced Nike Women's Skinny Dunk High Supreme. The patchwork design, although it may not always be liked, definitely catches people’s attention. This pair of Nike Dunk High Skinny Supreme retro basketball shoes have been dubbed "The Patchworks" because the design is feature along the entire upper. The use of vibrant colors also helps draw us in, while white accents, including the Nike swoosh and midsole, tend to blend in with the white seen in the design. The retro basketball shoe sits atop a classic gum rubber sole, a feature loved by fanatics.

Nike Dunk DJ AM obviously pay tribute to the late DJ AM and feature black patent leather on the heel flap and toe box. Not only is the Nike Swoosh 3M reflective materials, but the materials behind the perforated patent is as well. Red leather fills in the rest of the sneaker, while a white midsole and black outsole are also used. DJ AM ACDC inspired logo completes the look on the tongue tag and gives credit where credit is due. DJ AM dunks used for the dots along the heel come from the tool that gave DJ AM his fame the Technics 1200 turntable. The perforated circles are stacked four tall, with one being far larger than the others. The DJ nikes black patent leather then represents the shiny vinyls spinning on top.
